Who we are
CarMood is made by THINKAD INC, 20282 Castle Stuart Ave, Boca Raton, FL 33434, United States (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what data the CarMood app and our website handle and why. Questions: support@carmood.app.
The short version
- No sign-up, no ads, no tracking across apps, and we never sell your data.
- Your designs, photos in widgets, trips and settings stay on your iPhone.
- Photos, ideas and texts you send to AI features are used only to create your result and are not stored by us.
- Location leaves your iPhone only while you're in a Convoy.
Data that stays on your iPhone
Widget designs, photos you put in widgets, your design library, themes, sounds you import or create, trip history, your parking spot, your home zone, Drive Mode favorites and settings are stored only on your device. We don't receive them.
Purchases
Payments are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to check which subscription or coin packs you have. For this a random, anonymous app user ID is created on your iPhone. We never see your name, email or payment details.
AI features
When you tap Create in AI Car Art, AI Sounds or AI Voice, the photo(s) and text you chose are sent to our server and to our AI partners — Leonardo.ai (images) and ElevenLabs (voices and songs) — only to create your result. We don't store your photos, texts or results; we ask our partners to delete them right after creation. We keep a short technical record (time, style, whether it succeeded, coins used) to count coins and prevent abuse. Hateful, threatening and sexual requests are blocked.
Location
With your permission, CarMood uses your location for local weather (via Apple WeatherKit), the speedometer, trip recording, remembering where you parked and the arrived-home sound. This is processed on your iPhone. When you join or host a Convoy, your position is sent to our server and shown to the members of that convoy; it is deleted when the convoy ends or after 3 hours without movement.
Drawings and friends
To deliver drawings, our server stores your display name, your friends list, the drawings you send and push notification tokens for your widget. Drawings are deleted after at most 60 days; invite links expire. You can remove friends at any time.
Contacts, calls and music
Drive Mode favorites are chosen with the iOS contact picker and saved only on your iPhone. The call bar only reads whether a call is active on your device. Apple Music playback stays on your iPhone. None of this is sent to us.
Server logs
Like any online service, our server and hosting provider briefly keep technical logs (such as IP address, time and request type) for security and troubleshooting.

Legal bases (EEA, UK)
We process data to provide the features you use (contract), with your consent where the app asks for it (location, AI photo upload), and for our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure and preventing abuse.
How long we keep data
- AI inputs and results: not stored by us.
- Convoy positions: until the convoy ends or 3 hours without movement.
- Drawings: up to 60 days.
- Coin balance and purchase records: as long as needed to provide your purchases and meet legal duties.
- Technical logs: a short period.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or California law), you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent. Write to support@carmood.app. Because we don't have accounts, we may ask for details that help us find your data, such as a purchase receipt. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. We don't sell or share personal information for advertising.
Children
CarMood is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and some sounds contain mature language. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
International transfers
Our server and providers are located in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections, and we keep as little as possible for as short as possible.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for important changes, let you know in the app.
