Does CarMood work with my car?
Yes, if your car or head unit supports Apple CarPlay (wired or wireless) and your iPhone runs iOS 26 or later. CarPlay widgets live on the Dashboard screen; some older or very small screens show fewer of them.
How do I add widgets to CarPlay?
Open iPhone Settings → General → CarPlay → choose your car → Widgets → Add Widgets → CarMood. In the car, swipe to the Dashboard screen — widgets are not on the screen with app icons.
How do I change the CarPlay startup sound?
CarMood sets it up with one Shortcuts automation: Automation → New Automation → CarPlay → Connects → Run Immediately → add the CarMood action “Play connected sound”. iOS plays its short chime first, your sound follows right after.

Why can't I tap the widgets in the car?
That's how iOS works: CarPlay widgets are for glancing, not tapping. Change designs in the app on your iPhone.
